Oral History Manager (part-time 10-12 hours per week)
The Central Otago Heritage Trust is looking to contract an Oral History Project Manager to manage and further develop the Central Otago oral history collection. In this part-time role, you will be responsible for training and supporting volunteers and making the collection available to the community.
We are also looking to explore ways in which oral histories can reach into school educational programs, as well as other sectors of our community, in creative and meaningful ways.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be trained in recognized oral history standards (NOHANZ) or be willing to undergo industry training.
- Have a high level of attention to detail and an ability to negotiate new software.
- Enjoy working with volunteers and community groups in a supportive, encouraging manner.
- Demonstrate confidence in both oral and written communications.
- Be based in Central Otago.
The part-time work hours are flexible, providing an opportunity to accommodate work around school hours.
