In Part 1 of this interview, Roberta talks about her early years and the opportunities she had to pursue many adventures and careers. Roberta was instrumental in coordinating the first (and many following) Cavalcades held since 1991 as a member and later chair of the Otago Goldfields Heritage Trust. The Calvalcades, which traverse a variety of old trails across Otago following in the footsteps of the early gold seekers, soon became increasingly popular. In addition Roberta’s experiences both overseas, including an amazing adventure in Iran, and throughout New Zealand are discussed in Part 2, as she demonstrates a warm and adventurous character.
