Donella is one of the last remaining survivors of the Hyde Railway Disaster which occurred in 1943. A teenager at the time, she describes the event and the effect that it had on the community. She also recounts her early days growing up in the Naseby, Ranfurly and Patearoa districts, her schooling and the many sports she enjoyed. Donella finishes by describing her recent involvement in community sporting events.
