Central Otago Heritage Trust’s Oral History Project collects memories and personal commentaries to preserve and celebrate Central Otago’s rich heritage. Our volunteer-based project has been collecting Oral Histories since 2019.  Our oral history collection covers a broad range of topics including farming, viticulture, health, dance, community engagement and more. We hope you enjoy listening to these memories.

The interviews published on this website have been edited to maintain the privacy of interviewees. If you are interested in listening to the original audio, or have enquiries regarding genealogy or research, please email [email protected]

Photos and digital material relating to each oral history have been provided by interviewees from their own private collections.
