Bruce begins this interview with a detailed background into his family history and achievements. He then goes on to recount his career path and involvement with one of the earliest computers of its time, the Cadbury’s ICT1301 computer which now resides in the Toitu Otago Settlers Museum in Dunedin. Bruce was tasked with learning to run and maintain the computer, and its operation engaged his expertise for many years. Since his retirement to Central Otago, Bruce has also been involved in the Otago Goldfields Heritage Trust and he outlines the Trust’s achievements over the years.
