In this recording, made in 2003, Richard Anderson recollects farming life at Kawarau Homestead back in the days before tractors, when teams of horses did the heavy work.  He talks about family life at the station and his school days, including the time he lost an eye while learning to shoe his pony,  and recounts stories about mustering.

Please note that this interview was originally recorded on cassette tape, and while Richard’s voice is perfectly clear, the interviewer’s voice is distorted in some instances.
