Jan describes growing up in Australia, completing teacher’s college training and achieving an early promotion to senior mistress in a school in Millicent at the young age at 22. Soon after, she embarked on a big OE to England where she meet her husband Tim at an outdoor centre in Scotland. She describes their various overseas adventures and occupations before recounting how they came to live in New Zealand. Jan has contributed widely to the education and arts sectors in Central, and describes her appointment as Principal to Cromwell College.
