Bill’s passions in life have been sport, in particular rugby and horse racing, as well as family and farming. In this interview, Bill describes growing up in the Matakanui, his school years at Waitaki boys, representing Matakanui and Otago in rugby, trialing for the All Blacks, and how he got involved in horse racing, training and winning races. Family have been very important to Bill, and he recollects family history relating to the Wilson, Pearson, Donnelly, Morgan and Hepburn families.
