The conversation ranges from Jim’s childhood in St Bathans, his experiences at the local primary school, his first jobs rabbiting and mustering, through to marriage, family and farming life, and includes information on his parents and grandparents.
The interview captures Jim’s involvement in community and sporting life, including rugby, gymkhanas, trotting, curling and dog trials. He loyally supported local clubs for decades, holding office and becoming a life member of several.
