Early farming pioneers were one of the earliest permanent settlers to the region, and Murray MacMillan has a wealth of knowledge to share not only about the Mt Pisa Station, but also of stories from around the region. Miners, musterers, rabbiters and swaggers all feature in this fascinating account of earlier times. Murray also served for many years on the Cromwell Community Board, and reflects on the changes to the region over time. This delightful interview was originally recorded by Anne Cook in 2003 and shared with the Central Otago Oral History Project in 2023.
