After many years of research and writing, Tricia Batkin celebrates the launch of her book ‘Coal Dust to Gold Dust’ which highlights the early days of Cambrian, the families that settled there from the 1860s and the tragedies and triumphs that were part of their lives.

11.30 Assemble at Mr William Gay’s house (alias Bob Berry), for a narrated walk down Coalpit and Cambrian Roads to the school.
12.00 Guest Speaker (renowned past radio announcer) Jim Sullivan to launch ‘Coal Dust to Gold Dust’, followed by a shared picnic lunch in Leanne’s garden next to the school.
